Abstract

Forty-three patients with a variety of infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms were treated with cephaloridine, a new semisynthetic antibiotic, cephaloridine (Ceporin), produced chemically from cephalosporin C. Treatment was successful in 23 patients and there were four deaths. Thirteen of the treatment failures occurred in patients with refractory urinary infections. © 1964, British Medical Journal Publishing Group. All rights reserved.
