Abstract
(Figure Presented) Bowled over: A bowl-shaped {Mo51V 9} polyoxo metal ate anion (see picture) is produced in a hydrothermal synthesis by a redox self-assembly process. This new compound has different building blocks and linkages to previously reported polyoxometalates (see structure; N green, O red, Mo/V gray, threefold axis indicated by black triangle). © 2007 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
