On bending of elastic plates

Abstract

Earlier work on theory of bending of thin elastic plates with reference to question of boundary conditions prescribed along edges of plate; derivations in simpler and more general form; while previously isotropic homogeneous material was assumed, plates of homogeneous or non-homogeneous construction are now considered, with elastic properties which are different in parallel and perpendicular planes.
