Abstract

Recent theoretmal developments in Image Understandmg are surveyed. Among the issues discussed are edge finding, region finding, texture, shape from shading, shape from texture, shape from contour, and the representations of surfaces and objects. Much of the work described was developed in the DARPA Image Understanding project. © 1982, ACM. All rights reserved.
