Abstract

The article focuses on the role of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Directorate for Social Affairs, Manpower and Education George Papadopoulos in developing the OECD approach to educational cooperation for industrial democracies. It says that Papadopoulos detailed the approach development in his book "Education 1960-1990 The OECD Perspective." It features the policy-oriented nature of the work in which the education is related to economic and cultural environment.
