Abstract
The chapter examines the changes being introduced to the role of systems analysts while moving from the traditional Waterfall model to Agile in information systems development. The chapter reveals that various changes in functions, knowledge, skills and people competencies are required for systems analysts in the Agile environment. The research reveals that the functions are also broader in Agile requirements engineering compared to Waterfall. Reliability and personal communication are identified as the core competencies for systems analysts in Agile systems development.
