Abstract

In providing security for its user and service provider, the Personal Communication System (PCS) is undergoing a standardization. Its framers would start by considering the benefits and cost of using three security methods namely: the GSM security method, the US Digital Cellular Security, and the application of public-key cryptography. The integration of these three security methods along with the committee members' ideas will be the set standards that would define the PCS security.
