Abstract
Provision for flood warning schemes in Scotland is reviewed, with examples from various River Purification Board areas. Details of some of the systems used are also given. Although the Boards have traditionally valued their local and individual approach to river and water supply problems, new systems are likely to be subjected to closer scrutiny in future. (D.W.T.)
