Abstract
The coastline in Karawang Regency stretches 84.23 km in nine sub-districts. One potential disaster is abrasion. The losses caused by abrasion have had an impact on public facilities and residents' housing due to changes in coastlines and mangroves in Karawang District. The study aimed to obtain the distribution of abrasion along the Karawang coast and geomorphological changes that occurred from 2013-2018. The data used are Landsat Landsat 8 OLI satellite images and field surveys. The method used to analyze the rate of abrasion was carried out by spatialoral analysis for five years. Abrasion that occurred from 2013 - 2018 found in Pakisjaya, Cibuaya, Pedes, Cilebar, Tempuran, Cilamaya Kulon and Cilamaya Wetan Subdistricts. The efforts that have been made by the community in Cilamaya District are to conserve by planting mangroves and artificial barriers to the waves.
