GAMBARAN KENYAMANAN PEMAKAIAN LENSA KONTAK LUNAK (SOFT LENS) PADA MAHASISWA ARO GAPOPIN TAHUN 2024

Abstract

Research on the comfort of wearing soft contact lenses (soft lenses) for ARO Gapopin students was carried out to determine the level of comfort felt after using contact lenses by paying attention to various factors that can influence this comfort. This research was conducted using quantitative methods using a research sample of 61 students who wear soft contact lenses. The results of the study showed that contact lenses must be comfortable when worn: 98.2% answered yes and 1.20% answered no, contact lenses must provide clear vision for far and near: 93.8% answered yes and the rest (6.2% answered no), the comfort of wearing soft contact lenses is determined by various influencing factors such as the thickness of the contact lenses (98.8% answered yes and 1.2% answered no), the material and quality of the contact lenses used by all respondents (100% ) answer yes and fitting assessment is carried out 98.8% said yes and only 1.2% said no. Knowledge about contact lens care which includes contact parameters, wearing time and sanitation also has an influence on wearing comfort.
