Abstract

Since legalization of marijuana in Colorado, youth marijuana use increased by 20%, which is 74% higher than the national average (National Survey on Drug Use and Health [NSDUH]). According to this same survey, the top 20 states with the highest rate of marijuana use for youth ages 12–17 years are those that have medical marijuana or have legalized recreational marijuana.
