Abstract

The aim of this study is to form a holistic view of health care technologies in teachers and students as part of the human culture; to reveal the social significance of these technologies as a social phenomenon and the basis for the formation of a healthy lifestyle, their interconnection with successful professional activities. The study is based on the student model of health. This model takes into account the needs of students in outdoor activities, leisure, the rational use of free time, the development of physical and professional qualities, motor capabilities by means of physical education. The essence of the value potential of physical education, its interconnection with professional activity are considered on the basis of praxeological and axiological approaches. The praxeological approach studies interactions of participants in the educational process; it is interested in both the theoretical foundations of successful action and the principles of rational organization, ways to improve action, techniques of action and counteraction, the use of symbolic information and argumentation, the creation of conditions and developmental environment in an educational institution, and pedagogical support. The axiological approach considers the value potential of physical education. The methodological support of physical education classes, special methods for physical self-improvement, basics of independent exercise and sports, control in independent studies, various means of restoring the body's health (use of exercise machines and devices in individual wellness programs, holding sports and recreational events, etc.) are analysed. The study refers to foreign experience (China, Germany, the USA, etc.) in the basics of life safety, mental health, risk management skills in the field of health care and safety. The authors conclude that students' health is a significant category in a social context represented by two aspects: value (for understanding the importance of the interconnection between physical and professional education) and activity (for improving health through training and physical activity in the conditions of student life). Physical education is the basis for the formation of a healthy lifestyle; it is interconnected with successful professional activities.
