Attitudes towards Body Expression in the field of Physical Education subject: A study with Compulsory Secondary Education students

Abstract

The aim of this study was to carry out an investigation that analysed Attitudes towards Body Expression. To construct this study, there was a sample of 692 students belonging to the E.S.O, aged between 12 and 18 years. All of them belong to eight different high schools in the city ofValladolid.The instrument used was a questionnaire, the result of a previous work (Arias, Fernández & San Emeterio, 2020), made up by 32 items that addressed different factors (Assessment of the CE, Preference, Liking and Attitude of the teacher). After an inferential analysis we can highlight, as main results, the students' attitude towards Corporal Expression, it will be influenced by the attitude they perceive in their teacher.The influence that the variables sex, age, grade and type of center may have with respect to the construct Attitude of students towards Body Expression was also analyzed. Result of the analysis, we highlight the correlation between the variables sex and type of center and said construct.
