Pidato Anies Baswedan dalam “Jakarta Education Expo 2017”: Analisis Wacana Kritis

Abstract

This research aims to find out what was contained in Anies Baswedan's speech in the recording of his speech entitled Full Speech of Anies Baswedan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Education Expo 2017 in TMII. In this research a qualitative method was used. Data collection in the form of utterances was carried out by listening and note technique, while the analysis was carried out using van Dijk's critical discourse analysis. In this research was found that Anies Baswedan's speech contained character education.The lexicons he uses include growing, seeds, soil where the seeds grows, weather wheretthey grows, right turn, left turn, bathroom in the room, and bathroom outside the room. The lexicon was chosen with the intention of the role of students determines in educationbecause students are potential successors in the implementation of stimulationto obtain positive results with habituation. Through his speech, Anies also conveyed the ideal characters to be grown in students were moral character, competence, and literacy with the steps of introspection, target, and orientation.
