Abstract

This paper includes a didactic proposal of intervention in the University classroom focused on writing and academic reading, since the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the implementation of the Bologna Plan have meant an increase in practical hours and the implementation of a final degree project to graduate. Therefore, in this article, we offer a didactic intervention proposal based on the pedagogical workshop model for its reflective-experimental nature. In this workshop we focus on the skills of reading comprehension and written expression focused on academic scientific texts: Address the specificity of these texts, the type of stereotyped and conventional language, the structure of an academic work, the citation, among other aspects. All these discursive characteristics represent a challenge for new students in Higher Education that must manage both to complete their studies and to acquire the professional skills required for their studies for their employment. In the article, we also offer the analysis of the data related to the didactic intervention based on a methodological model of action research.
