Abstract

With proper choice of Pd(O) catalyst, especially by employment of a novel bidentate phosphite ligand, and substitution pattern of substrate, eight and nine membered carbocyclic ring formation dominates the normally much more favorable six and seven membered ring formation. © 1992.
