Abstract

The nautiloid genus Pseudaturoidea SHIMANSKY, 1975 (type species Nautilus forbesianus BLANFORD, 1861) is recorded from south-eastern France, and the species Pseudaturoidea vermeuleni sp. nov., occurring in the upper Barremian and lower Aptian of south-eastern France, is erected. The systematic position of the genus Pseudaturoidea SHIMANSKY is revised.
