An evaluation of the thermodynamic properties and the P, T phase diagram of carbon

Abstract

A new evaluation of the thermodynamic properties of carbon has been made. A set of parameter values describing the Gibbs energy of each individual phase as a function of temperature and pressure is given. The experimental information on the P, T phase diagram and the thermodynamical data are compared with calculations made using the presented set of parameters. The experimental information is well reproduced. © 1986.
