Abstract

As the deregulation of the power system is one of the recent needs of the electricity network, the distributed generations are penetrated to the power system. This leads to unpredictability of the network losses. The best position of “FACTS” devices minimizes the losses of power scheme. The significant improvement in minimization of cost and loss by placing simultaneously two facts devices at a time is discussed in this document. The “FACTS” devices such as SVC, UPFC, and TCSC are used in this analysis. Here SVC with TCSC, TCSC with UPFC and SVC with UPFC are considered. Each placed simultaneously to the deregulated environment. Two FACTS devices were provided with cost-effective reduction of FACTS systems. The Indian utility bus system with 62 buses, is used here as a study.
