Abstract

Ultrafine copper powder was prepared in ethylene glycol in which sodium hydroxide was added. By the analysis of XRD, FTIR and SEM, a reasonable reaction mechanism was presented. The formation of copper powder and the oxidation of ethylene glycol were researched. © 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
