Abstract
Three relationships: age-length, age-weight, and length-weight in 31 fish species with 14 types of body shapes were fitted and selected through the computer following the principle of least squares sum. Sixty-three out of the 86 cases were fit to be expressed using the quadratic 2 equation, Y=a + bx + cx , which accounted for 73.256% of the total number of cases. Checking computations and comparisons were made with the growth of silver carp Hypophthalmichthys molitrix that also served as an example.
