The spanish independent videogame are fashionable, and with it, 2D animation. The current indie games are graphic adventures with aesthetics inspired on earlier times, style of the eighties or pixel art. Taking three cases of study on development - The Many Pieces of Mr Coo (Nacho Rodríguez, 2019), The Red Strings Club (Deconstructeam, 2018), and Moonlighter (Wild Frame, 2018) -, Rocío Benavent explains for Con A de animación how independent video games are created, regarding artistic direction and the use given to 2D animation, to understand what is about to come in the field of indie games.
