Abstract

CeScS3, orthorhombic, Pnma, a = 7.1618(3), b = 9.5621(4), e = 6.5065(3)A, Z = 4. The structure has been refined by profile analysis of powder neutron diffraction data at room temperature. [Rnuclea r = 2"64, Rprofne = 6.14, Rweight = 6.85.] It is a distorted perovskite of the GdFeO 3 type.
