Abstract

In all developed and developing countries of the world, government spending on transport infrastructure has declined significantly in the past few years due to fiscal constraints. However, the role of public private partnership cannot be overemphasised. Also, large infrastructure projects often present great opportunities for the public and private sectors to work together. Public and private partnership have become a key component to the development of transport infrastructures. This paper examines public private partnership and provides a framework in which it can be developed. It reviewed and analysed public private partnership on transport projects and identified past weaknesses and failures, and above all looking at the big picture. Article visualizations:
