HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGUASAAN KOSAKATA DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MENULIS KARANGAN NARASI

Abstract

This research is research that is looking for solutions in developing the ability to write narrative essays. This study aims to determine the suitability of a theory which conveys that writing activities require a good mastery of vocabulary. If students have a lot of vocabulary, it will make it easier for students to compose words to write narrative essays. The method used in this study is the correlational method. Correlation research is research that looks at the relationship between variables or several variables with other variables. The object of this research is the fifth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiah Darut Taqwa Cibungbulang Bogor. The results of this study indicate that there has been a correlation between variable X and variable Y. This is evidenced by the results of testing that r xy arithmetic of 0.292. And r xy table on product moment correlation is 0.290. Comparison of these values ​​means r count is greater than r table, (0.292 ˃ 0.290). So, the test results with the correlation coefficient formula are POSITIVE. Therefore, writing activities undertaken by students have a very significant relationship, if the mastery of the vocabulary is better
