Abstract

The Dialnet project is analyzed as a database that is largely the result of the cooperation of Spanish university libraries, reviewing its beginnings, its evolution, the participation of libraries and the different types of content. A special mention is made of Dialnet Métricas, explaining its origin, the chronological milestones, the processes for its preparation and the bibliometric data generated. The main data of each of the mentioned aspects is shown and it ends with a mention to new projects (as Dialnet CRIS) and some future possibilities within the framework of university library cooperation.
