Abstract

Numerous reports have indicated that the plasma concentration of endogenously produced inhibitors of nitric oxide synthase are elevated in human disease states. In this review we discuss recent advances in our understanding of the enzymes responsible for the synthesis of these inhibitors. © 2005 Edward Arnold (Publishers) Ltd.
