Abstract

ABSTRAK Aglaonema "Lipstik" merupakan tanaman hibrida yang memiliki keunikan dan variasi warna daun yang indah dan memerlukan pupuk. Banyak bahan dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk cair, salah satunya adalah enceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk karakterisasi pupuk organik cair (POC) dari eceng gondok, menentukan efektivitas pertumbuhan Aglaonema pasca pemberian pupuk cair, menentukan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair terbaik bagi Aglaonema. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat konsentrasi perlakuan POC (0 ppm, 1,5 ppm, 3 ppm dan 4,5 ppm) setiap minggu selama 3 bulan dan diulang enam kali. Pengamatan setiap minggu meliputi pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan tinggi tanaman, luas daun dan warna daun. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif, uji ragam dan analisis biplot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa POC eceng gondok mengandung bahan organik, N, P dan K masing-masing 0,29%, 0,52%, 0,002% dan 0,098%. Penggunaan POC eceng gondok kombinasi 4,5 ppm merupakan konsentrasi optimal dan berpengaruh nyata pada peningkatan kecerahan warna merah daun. Akan tetapi, secara univariat pupuk tidak nyata meningkatkan pertambahan tinggi tanaman, jumlah, luas maupun warna hijau daun. Secara multivariat, tanaman yang diberi POC 4,5 ppm memiliki RCI dan %JD terbaik, POC 3,00 ppm meningkatkan GRI dan %TT tertinggi. Hal ini berbeda dengan tanaman dengan POC 0-1,5 ppm, yang memiliki RCI dan %JD kecil. ABSTRACT Aglaonema "Lipstick" is a hybrid plant that has a unique and beautiful leaf color variations and requires fertilizer. Many resources can be used as raw materials of liquid fertilizers, among them is water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes). The aim of this research was to characterize liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from fermented water hyacinth, to determine Aglaonema growth effectivity after liquid fertilizer application, to select the optimal concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for Aglaonema. The experiment used a complete randomized design with four concentrations of POC treatment (0 ppm, 1.5 ppm, 3 ppm and 4.5 ppm) every week for 3 months and repeated six times. Weekly observations included increasing leaves number, plant height, leaf area and color. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, analyisis of variance and biplot analysis. The results showed that water hyacinth POC contained organic material, N, P and K respectively 0.29%, 0.52%, 0.002% and 0.098%. The water hyacinth POC 4.5 ppm was the optimal concentration to produce a significant effect on the brightness of red leaves color. However, based on univariate analysis this fertilizer did not significantly increase plant height, leaf number, leaf area and green leaves color. Furthermore, based on multivariate analysis it was revealed that the plant under POC 4.5 ppm showed the highest RCI and %JD. While POC 3.0 ppm produced the highest GRI and %TT. On the other hand, the plant under POC 0-1.5 ppm had the lowest RCI and %JD.
