Abstract

Keys for the identification and assessment of the following lucerne diseases are presented: crown rot (caused by Fusarium spp. plus other fungi); bacterial wilt (caused by Corynebacterium michiganense p.v. insidiosum); verticillium wilt (caused by Verticillium albo-atrum); crown wart (caused by Physoderma alfalfae) and stagonospora root rot (caused by Leptosphaeria pratensis). The keys are for use on mature plants and require destructive sampling of plants from plots or field. © 1982 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
