Abstract
This study aims to analyze the production factors affecting the yield and the efficiency of allocation in pakcoy (Brasica rapa L) farming in Candi Kuning Village, Tabanan Regency. The respondents consisted of 30 farmers selected through a census method. The research findings indicate that significant factors influencing pakcoy production are seed quality, urea fertilizer, organic fertilizer, pesticides, and labor, whereas land area does not significantly affect production. The efficiency level of production factors in pakcoy farming is suboptimal, as evidenced by efficiency values 1 for land area (1.03), seed quality (14.20), urea fertilizer(-55.32), pesticides(-17.50), organic fertilizer (6.71), and labor (-11.72). Recommendations include optimizing the use of production inputs to enhance yield in upcoming planting seasons. Furthermore, it is suggested to increase the use of quality seeds and organic fertilizers by 15%, while reducing the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and external labor by 20% to improve efficiency in organic farming practices.
