Abstract

It is known to us that English is the principal foreign language taught in China where it enjoys high status as a means of communication. Written English, a fundamental part of language learning skills, is a crucial factor in improving English learning as a main source of language output. This paper, based on Chinese Learner English Corpus (CLEC), aims to discuss the effect of the application of corpus to improve Chinese students' English Foreign Language (EFL) competence because the four language skills naming listening, speaking reading have close relationship with each other and improve writing skill will writing.
