Abstract

Current treatments for Parkinson's disease (PD) are plagued by motor complications. Here these underlying motor complications are briefly reviewed, and strategies to reduce them are discussed.The rationale behind the use of continuous dopaminergic stimulation is highlighted as this is a strategy that may reduce motor complications and improve the quality of life for patients with PD.
