PENGARUH MEDIA ORGANIK DAN TANAH MINERAL TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN INDEKS MUTU BIBIT MINDI

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the influence of mixed organic materials and mineral soil as the replacement media on growth and quality seedling index of Melia azedarach L. + rice skin ash (1:1:1)). The research showed that seven tested media gave significant influence on the growth of diameter, height, total biomass and seedling quality index of Melia azedarach L. The growths of seedling height and diameter resulted by C1 (41,175 cm/0,305 cm) and C4 (37,789 cm/0,326 cm) were better than others. The seedling total biomass on C1 (2,189 grams) and C4 (2,785 grams) were relatively better than C3 (2,123 grams), C5 (2,067 grams) and C7 (2,140 grams). Media C3 (0,033) gave the better seedling quality index, but not significantly different from C2 (0,026), C4 (0,025) and C7 (0,031).
