Abstract

The user or citizen satisfaction is a growing concern in government organizations, because it is an important expression of efficiency and effectiveness in public management. For this reason, it is important to know how satisfied are the directors of the Regular Basic Education Institutions with the support services offered by the Municipality to the Educational Centers. The objective of the study is to determine the level of satisfaction of school principals in Lima, Peru, regarding the support services provided by the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima to public educational institutions. To achieve this purpose, descriptive research was designed from a quantitative approach, applying a questionnaire to the 81 directors of public educational institutions in the Cercado de Lima district. As a result, it was obtained that the level of satisfaction of school directors about the provision of support services to educational institutions is good, with possibilities for improvement if unfulfilled expectations are met. It is concluded that determining the satisfaction generated by the provision of public services offers valuable inputs in the search for greater efficiency in public management
