Abstract

The author reflects on "Impacto de la dinámica política colombiana en los procesos de reparación a las víctimas de la violencia política," an article that examines political dynamics in the process of making reparations to victims of political violence in Colombia, written by Ángela María Estrada Mesa and published in the issue. In particular, she critiques Estrada Mesa's clear distinction between civil society and state organizations, maintaining that in certain parts of Colombia the apparatus of the state operates through networks of social power that could be mistaken for civil society.
