Abstract

Points out aspects of window construction that seem to be conceptually distinct from one another and also basic. Conveys something of the 'feel' of the kind of spadework that a particular one of these aspects would call for if one attempted to use the homesigns created by deaf children of hearing parents as a window on language construction. Please note that the article is part of Spil, special issue 1: language evolution
