Evaluation of the accuracy of a continuous speech recognition software system in radiology

Abstract

The accuracy of a continuous speech recognition software for radiology was measured. The impact on accuracy of the gender of the speaker and the status of the speaker as a native or non-native English speaker was examined. The potential for routine clinical use of the system for radiology report transcription was evaluated.
