Abstract

The examination of coastal dynamics is an intriguing discipline. Mangrove deforestation exemplifies the interplay between anthropogenic activity and natural processes that affect our coastlines. This deforestation can profoundly modify coastal ecosystems, especially near infrastructure, resulting in detrimental effects. In the last ten years, alterations along the Bangkalan coast have disturbed the equilibrium between coastal erosion and accretion, resulting in a predominance of erosion. The fundamental purpose of this study is to comprehend the patterns of change in coastal regions, specifically the Bangkalan shore. The study employed time-series imaging and remote sensing equipment. The results indicated a yearly erosion along the coastline's receding perimeter from 2013 to 2024 within in 5 segmentation.
