Abstract

We propose a Robin domain decomposition algorithm to approximate a frictionless Signorini contact problem between two elastic bodies. The present method is a generalization to variational inequality of Lions' nonoverlapping domain decomposition method. The Robin algorithm is a parallel one, in which we have to solve a contact problem on each domain.
