Abstract
Humic acid is the end result of decomposition of organic matter. Humic acid can increase the ability of the soil to bind, absorb and exchange cations. This research aimed was to determine the effect of urea and humic acid liquid organic fertilizer dosage to thegrowth and yield of sweetcorn (Zea mays L.). The research method used was an experimental method, that using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) 4 x 4 factorial pattern with three replications. The first factor was the urea dose (u) consisting of four levels, namely u0 = without urea fertilizer, u1 = 50 kg urea/ha, u2 = 100 kg urea /ha, u3 = 200 kg urea/ha. Further more the second factor was the consentration of humic acid liquid organic fertilizer (h) consisting of four levels, namely h0 = 0 ml liquid organic fertilizer/L, h1 = 5 ml liquid organic fertilizer/L, h2 = 10 ml liquid organic fertilizer/L and h3 = 15 ml liquid organik fertilizer/L. The results provided that there was no interaction between urea and humic acid liquid organic fertilizer to the growth and yield of sweet corn. Treatment dosage of urea atof 200 kg/ha and 15 ml/liter liquid organic fertilizer gave the best result to plant height, leaf area, ear diameter, length cobs, cropping weight of cob, and yield of corncob per plot.
