Optimalisasi kapasitas produksi produk PDS Fender pada PT Arkha Jayanti Persada dengan theory of constraints menggunakan Lindo dan PomQm

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the development of technology is increasing rapidly so that many local and foreign companies develop their business in Indonesia. Of course, every company is competing to be in the forefront. Theory of Constraints (TOC) is a new approach to management and continuous improvement in company operations. TOC can help companies to improve performance and better efficiency. PT Arkha Jayanti Persada has a problem with its production system, namely that there is a work center that is experiencing problems or bottlenecks so that it causes delays in the delivery that was previously agreed upon. The available capacity at PT Arkha Jayanti Persada is 237.6, based on the processing that has been done, the Cutting workstation does not meet the available capacity of 341.54. Due to the bottleneck of the Cutting workstation, it is necessary to improve the capacity of the work station so that this capacity is fulfilled and optimal. Based on data processing using the Rought Cut Capacity Planning, which the production capacity has met the available capacity, but the results given are not optimal. To find out whether the results have been optimal, Lindo software is needed. The results of the sensitivity analysis for Lindo can be concluded that the improvement of work station capacity at PT Arkha Jayanti Persada using RCCP has been optimal. It is hoped that the company can implement the improvements that have been made so that in the production process there are no obstacles and no delays in product delivery to consumers.
