Flora of the canga of the Serra dos Carajás, Pará, Brazil: Dilleniaceae

Abstract

This study presents the taxonomic treatment of Dilleniaceae for the canga formations of the Serra dos Carajás (Pará state, Brazil), where two species of Davilla were recorded: Davilla cearensis, an endemic species from North and Northeastern Brazil, and the widely distributed Davilla rugosa. Besides, Doliocarpus brevipedicellatus, ocurring from Costa Rica to Brazil was also recorded. Detailed descriptions, comments and illustrations of the species are presented.
