Abstract

The development and utilization of new technologies in wetland research is key for advancing knowledge, conservation, and management of these important ecosystems. While satellite-based remote sensing has proven valuable for understanding mostly regional to continental scale changes in wetlands, the high spatial heterogeneity of wetland plant communities and landscape units has proven challenging to characterize with the use of satellite technologies
