Abstract

Traditional leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of church services. This research examines the influence of traditional leadership structures on church governance, decision-making processes, member engagement, and overall church sustainability. Through a comparative analysis of churches with strong traditional leadership and those adopting modern leadership styles, this study explores the strengths and challenges of each approach. Findings indicate that traditional leadership ensures organizational stability, doctrinal consistency, and financial sustainability but may limit adaptability and member participation. In contrast, modern leadership styles emphasize collaboration, transparency, and innovation, leading to higher engagement and faster growth but potentially risking doctrinal unity and structural stability. The research highlights the importance of a balanced leadership model, integrating traditional values with contemporary strategies to optimize church services. This study recommends that churches enhance participatory leadership, embrace technology, improve financial transparency, and foster intergenerational engagement. By adopting a hybrid leadership approach, churches can maximize their spiritual and social impact, ensuring long-term sustainability and greater service effectiveness.
