Presents an outline of the history of educational and vocational guidance in Japan, and discusses its present status with regard to: (a) programs of schools and public employment security offices, (b) objects of guidance services to different age groups, (c) its role in the scope of national policy, and (d) the achievements of the Japan Vocational Guidance Association.
