Abstract
The article focuses on the tourism sector in Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) region. It examines determinants and variables of tourism demand, including effects of hurricanes, wars and terrorist attack. It views tourism as a luxury good, which indicates that tourism and ECCU economy could be vulnerable to economic downturn of tourism-source countries, notably U.S., Great Britain, Canada and Caribbean islands. Diversifying tourism markets and products could reduce its vulnerability.
