Abstract

The article presents reflections on the use of mathematics curriculum materials in secondary education which is based on the standards set by the National Council of Teachers Mathematics (NCTM) within the framework of an inquiry-based learning environment. The authors selected the second edition of the Connected Mathematics Project (CMP) to ascertain the comprehension level of students in linear functions. A question-and-answer format is provided to assess the curriculum.
