Abstract
Magnetic nanoparticles that have mag netic properties and other functionalities, have a broad application prospects in many fields, especially in biomedicine and bioengineering. In this review, chemical design and synthesis, as well as the surface functional strategy of magnetic nanoparticles are presented. The biomedical applications, such as magnetic resonance imaging, magnetic-controlled therapy, magnetic hyperthermia, and bio-separation, are also discussed.
