Abstract
The results of this survey indicate that the Golden Plover is among the five most numerous waders wintering in Britain and Ireland. Yet it is a difficult one to census accurately, despite its tendency to have traditional wintering areas where the bulk of the birds occur except when redistributed by harsh winter weather. © Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
