Abstract

The essence of the practice of medicine is that it is an intensely personal matter that requires a thorough dedication. In many aspects, concern about the humanistic qualities of physicians can be frequently limited. The intensely dedication to diagnosis and treatment of diseases or to laboratory investigations, separates physicians from social realities and cultural manifestations. The aim of this report concerns with the relationship between medicine and culture. The whole experience in medicine requires for physicians a similar humanistic and cultural knowledge, to respond succesfully to the foreseable role of the medical profession.
